Coming soon: 34 new townhouses and four single-family homes.

Buckhead Forest, once known as Buckhead Triangle, is a feisty enclave of 103 homes in the very heart of Buckhead. The area, in the V formed when Roswell Road and Peachtree Road split, is surrounded by some of Buckhead’s priciest commercial real estate. But you’d never know that once you enter Buckhead Forest’s tree-shaded streets.
The neighborhood, developed in the 1920s and 1930s as the Shadowlawn subdivision, is an eclectic collection of cottages on deep, narrow, heavily wooded lots. Some houses have 2-story garage apartments in the rear. Styles range from Tudor to traditional, with some brick ranches built in the 1950s and 1960s and European stuccos in the 1990s. Evidence of renovation is everywhere, in both homes and gardens.

The neighborhood is a short walk from everything in the center of Buckhead and accessible by MARTA bus and rail transit stations.

Years of fending off commercial encroachment have developed neighborhood spirit that larger neighborhoods might envy. One newspaper report compared Buckhead Forest to "The Little Engine That Could."

It’s a tucked away, still-affordable gem.

Public schools (see Buckhead Education) include Sarah Smith Elementary, Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School.
