Probably you've passed by Barclay's Flowers & Tea Garden
dozens of times and never stopped in. You should. Just off Roswell Road
at 285 West Wieuca Road, the cheerfully painted cottage is a
welcoming spot for a cup of tea and an delightful assortment of
home-baked pastries and finger food.
Inside, individual tables for two and four feature linen covers and
are surrounded by one-of-a-kind decorative accessories, floral
arrangements and imported teas, all for sale. Owner Charlotte Barclay,
an Alabama native, presides and serves as waitperson, hostess and
saleslady. If encouraged, she will share both her tea expertise and

It is not surprising that the settings are attractive. After a
successful career as a model and flight attendant, Barclay trained as an
interior designer and accepts assignments now as her schedule allows.
When you visit, notice the handsome floor treatment, the hands-on work
of the designer with help from an assistant. Wall and window treatments
also reflect Barclay's decorating prowess. She also works with other

conviction that the off-Roswell site soon will become a mecca for
