Colonial Homes area

The Colonial Homes complex of more than 250 garden apartments and townhouses is at the heart of an area of apartments and condos between Peachtree Road and Atlanta Memorial Park in south Buckhead. As much a small community as an apartment complex, Colonial Homes has drawn generations of young Buckhead residents since it was built in the 1940s, though its height as party mecca was the 1960s. A broad vista of the Bobby Jones Golf Course makes this an especially attractive area.

It can be reached from Peachtree via Colonial Homes Drive.

Surrounding complexes on Biscayne Drive and Peachtree Memorial Drive also offer a pleasant options in buildings that range from mellow old red brick with imposing entrances and big screened porches reminiscent of old Atlanta to modern mid-rise stucco blocks.

The entire area has easy access to Peachtree Road shops, restaurants and transportation and to Peachtree Battle Shopping Center and Piedmont Hospital.
