One of Atlanta's liveliest design and decorating scenes, the
Miami Circle cul-de-sac has become a "must check" for serious shoppers.
It's
also a delightful destination for browsers and, with the addition of Eclipse di Luna, an
in place for lunch and dinner.
Winding off Piedmont Road just north of the
Lindbergh MARTA station and the intersection of Sidney Marcus Boulevard,
the street has grown to more than 80 shops.
The area along the railroad tracks was
a light industrial-warehouse district for decades, developed by Ray M. Lee. It takes its name from an
early tenant, the Miami Window Co.
The arrival in the early 1980s of a big
furniture wholesaler lured other, smaller companies, and the
conversion of the street's warehouses to specialty decor shops began.
