| Golfing legend Robert Tyre "Bobby" Jones of Atlanta (1902 - 1971) was one of
the game's earliest and most enduring champions. In 1930, he became the only golfer ever
to win the "Grand Slam" - the British Amateur, the British Open, the U.S. Open
and the U.S. Amateur - all in the same year. Jones later became a successful lawyer, author and inventor and helped establish the Augusta national Golf Club and the Masters tournament. |
